I probably haven’t gotten a runner’s high in over a year. But I got one today! At least a little bit of one. I did intervals on the treadmill - 30 seconds jogging (like 6.5mph) and 30 seconds fast (10 mph) - 8 intervals total plus a little time in between for the dreadmill to adjust speed. I thought I was going to die toward the end. But as I tell the folks in the C25K groups I coach, if it’s hard it means it’s working! And it was definitely hard. Looking forward to next time now!

So I went yesterday and did my first strength training workout of my new routine. I got up this morning and was actually disappointed that I felt no muscle soreness at all. However, the disappointment is slowly moving out and the DOMS is moving in. I might need help moving tomorrow. And I like it! :)

Aside from being quite annoying, I’m actually impressed that this thing next door can make the entire contents of my office vibrate and rattle. This is going to get old fast…
I hate to rub it in, but this is where my running group meets every week. Everyone brings food and we have a big ol’ potluck and fellowship time afterward. An awesome group of folks!
